Have you Hammamed?

First I wanna ask how it’s possible to have lived my entire adult life in Los Angeles and never experienced the Argyle Salon & Spa in the Sunset Tower Hotel? I’ve even thrown events at the hotel! Never knew the spa existed.

Argyle Salon & Spa Hammam

Okay so I’m a little late to the party—but now that I’ve been, it’s ahh-mazing! The spa is tucked away down a staircase of the Sunset Tower…which could easily explain why it escaped my attention.

Truth be told, it doesn’t seem like all that – until you get whisked back to the treatment rooms. Or suite, as it turns out. Every guest has a private suite. Your own soaking tub, restroom, vanity, massage tables…TV! Seriously, the world is gone at this point.

I’ve experienced my share of steam rooms, but as I enter the Hammam, I become a goddess in my own head. This is unlike any steam room I’ve ever entered – and you have it ALL to yourself. I repeat: PRIVATE steam time.

The “Hammam” is a true Turkish bath – a spacious marble-covered room, complete with showers that feel like waterfalls amidst the steam. And the steam is adjustable so you can make it as low or high as you like.

The pièce de résistance: the Argyle Signature Sugar Scrub. You’re supplied with a dollop so you can leisurely exfoliate as you relax on the marble, for up to 25 minutes.

I highly recommend adding the Hammam experience onto any spa appointment here. If you listen to nothing else I suggest, listen to this one.

Lastly, if you have time to soak in a milk bath, do it. It’s got this whole Cleopatra thing going on, and your skin feels incredible for days after.

Call in advance, appointments book up.
