Met Gala Beauty: Emma Roberts

"Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between" Costume Institute Gala - ArrivalsLast night was what many of us refer to as the Fashion Event of the Year in NYC: The Met Gala. This year’s Costume Institute theme was “Rei Kawakubo/ Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.”

Red was fittingly a big trend of the evening, but my favorite was Emma Roberts.

Emma stunned in classic Hollywood glam. Her lollipop red satin Diane von Furstenberg gown stood out with a sleek corset bodice, peek-a-boo lace, and hot pink fur boa. While her hair hung long with an “un-styled” style, her makeup was a mix of vibrant and smoky color.

Makeup artist (and the woman behind her namesake brand) Charlotte Tilbury described Emma’s Met Ball look as, “a dreamy, lit-from-within glow on flawless, pore-less contoured skin, soft, rose-gold metallics on the eyes to make them look bigger and brighter, and sumptuous, fuller, wider Pillow Talk supermodel natural lips.”

Below are some of the key steps and CT products Charlotte used to create Emma’s look:

  1. Met Emma Roberts at a nail place with her mom   about 10 years ago.     She’s tiny…and so perfect everything>groomed from birth to be a star.     But she’s never lost sight of her big big celebrity goal and has’t been dissuaded a step.
