I LOVE giving gifts! Holiday…birthday…Monday. Whatever. I’m actually energized just thinking up the perfect gift for someone.
If you’re more of an 11th-hour shopper, here are a few ideas (that are still on shelves!) for the self-care and beauty lovers in your life.
MAKEUP | Pat McGrath Labs
I would never suggest buying a product for its packaging. In this case, the cake is as good as the icing. Every little detail in Pat McGrath’s namesake line makes me smile – from the golden lips adorning each lipstick to the rich, buildable pigments in each eye palette. Currently I’m coveting the Mothership VII: Divine Rose but you can’t go wrong with any gift here.
NATURAL MAKEUP | Ilia
My favorite earth-friendly, talc-free formulas – but don’t expect glam holiday gift sets here. I’ve been living in the Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 and Illuminator in Cosmic Dancer — but I hear the Liquid Eye Tints are great, too. If you don’t think a clean beauty line can deliver, Ilia will change your mind. They even offer gift cards.
SKINCARE | Elemis: The Skinny Confidential Collection
If for no other reason, the infusion of English Rose Oleo Extract makes this Elemis set a must-gift for skincare lovers. The Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm actually feels like a treat. Perfect for Dual Cleansing! The collection itself was curated by podcaster Lauryn Bosstick of The Skinny Confidential.
- Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm (0.7 oz)
- Travel Size Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil (0.5 oz)
- Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro-Mist (1.6 oz)
- Exclusive ELEMIS x The Skinny Confidential Bag
- Heart-Shaped Mirror
- Hair Clips (2)
SKIN CARE | TRULY BEAUTY
This line is too much fun. Truly Beauty stocks happy-looking products dedicated to boobs, booty, and even acne. Whether you’re 15 or 50, the Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Butter is slightly addictive. It’s a clean, pastel-colored whip of nourishing Matcha, Acai, Chia and rose.
ONE FOR EVERYONE |MAKE CUSTOM GIFTS
Truth, I heard about creating custom socks through a company that turned out to have AWFUL customer service. Bye girl, bye. Another option was a mouse click away! I love this idea for sending gifts to anyone you can’t be with during the holidays. Simply pick a style. Socks, PJs, boxers, etc. Pick a color. Upload a photo with a clear, front-facing, unshadowed face. Add to cart!
Happy, healthy shopping!

YAY! I have two girls are really getting into skincare, so this is excellent knowledge – I hadn’t heard about the Elemis line. Keep up the good posting!
I never heard of most of these products. On fact I m sitting now just to keep my bloody slit finger elevated. I got excellent very good and sharp knives which I badly need for my holidays gift. Everyone knew I would cut myself…… I didn’t waste any time. Anyway sitting here reading about indulging in fabulous beauty feels like a perfect idea!
