For those who are basically healthy and fit, CoolSculpting offers a welcome antidote to the stubborn bulge. It isn’t an alternative to the Lap Band or cure-all for obesity, but an advanced cooling technology that is said to eliminate stubborn fat cells.

The Zeltiq process involves drawing the chosen area of skin between two cooling panels that will chill fat to around 5 degrees Centigrade. Aside from an initial pulling sensation, there is no pain.
