Happy World Oceans Day, L.A.!

In tribute to their heritage and longtime relationship honoring the beauty and power of the sea, lavish skincare brand La Mer has partnered for the fifth time with Oceana – the world’s leading international ocean advocacy organization – to celebrate and support World Oceans Day 2010.

For the 2010 campaign, La Mer has created a limited-edition 100 ml World Oceans Day “blue” Crème de la Mer jar and will make a $200,000 donation to Oceana’s habitat protection efforts. 

Marking the first time La Mer has altered their signature Crème de la Mer jar, “going blue” symbolizes the brand’s continued commitment to the oceans. The New Rose in Town

There’s a new rose in town! And as of now, this one’s going down among the best anyone has ever showed up at my door unexpectedly carrying. Seriously. And I really love me a Sterling Rose.

Though wrapped in paper, there were no ribbons tied around this rose. This delivery came packaged in a pint-sized container with a plastic spoon. REAL ice cream?

Effing AMAZING!  Handmade Salted Caramel ice cream from the Sweet Rose Creamery in Brentwood. I knew the shop was opening, but still hadn’t made the time to try it out. Now, here it was at my door. City of Gloss Angeles is Born!

This blog is hereby born from a genuine love of Los Angeles – the freedom of her style, the spirit of her canyons and the promise of her residing influencers. Living in this City of Angels, we often dine next to the affluent, famous, overexposed and overeager – but we also walk amongst the unsung volunteers, organic farmers, heroic teachers and healers.

The truth is most characters depicted in tabloids and reality shows are usually just that: characters.
